"It is probably safe to say that Applegarth and Hutton parent councils have perhaps been the only ones in the region to meet face-to-face, thanks to your funding towards our shelter shed.

Last night we had a parent council meeting in the woodland shelter illuminated by fairy lights and torches while thunder and lightning was going on outside.

The shelter shed and its atmosphere provided a venue to facilitate cohesion between the parents, schools and staff. Since the Covid pandemic we haven’t been able to have any school community activities and there has beenvery little school gate chat consequently there were many new parents and many existing parents who had not met. The shelter shed provided a wonderfulCOVID-safe meeting facility."
