Elvanfoot
Phase 1 of the Proposed Development was consented in February 2025 and comprises the construction and operation of a 9.8MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Phases 2 and 3 are currently in development, with the submission of two major planning applications to South Lanarkshire Council expected in early 2026. Both of these phases comprise the construction and operation of BESS, with planning applications expected for a 49.9MW scheme and 25MW scheme.
Location: South Lanarkshire
The Proposed Development is ideally located to maximise the benefit of nearby renewable energy generation projects, including our Priestgill Wind Farm project . Both the Proposed Development and Priestgill Wind Farm will share existing and proposed infrastructure, with both connecting via a kiosk to the recently extended Elvanfoot Substation.
