NORTH LOGIEALMOND WIND FARM COMMUNITY DROP-IN EVENTS DRAW TO A CLOSE

10 February 2026

The public drop-in events for North Logiealmond Wind Farm drew to a close last week, with the roadshow concluding in Birnam. More than 140 visitors attended the series of events, where they were able to learn more about how the wind farm plans had been scaled back in response to feedback received.

Visitors to the events, which were spaced out across consecutive weeks in Bankfoot, Chapelhill and Birnam, were able to speak to Muirhall Energy and Scone Estates, provide their feedback and have their questions answered.

A wide range of materials were on display, including a new interactive touch screen visualisation tool demonstrating the changes that had been made from a number of local views. Attendees were also able to learn more about the layout revisions, environmental considerations and the wider local benefits of the project.

Andrew Marshall, Senior Development Manager at Muirhall Energy, commented:

“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to attend the events. The Team engaged in a number of interesting conversations, with a variety of opinions expressed.

“This third round of events enabled us to showcase the changes we have made to the project’s final design, which were informed directly by feedback received from local communities and statutory consultees during the consultation process.

“The submission of our formal S36 planning application to the Energy Consents Unit is expected to take place in Spring 2026. In the meantime, we’ll continue to keep local residents informed of project updates and next steps.”

William, Viscount Stormont, Scone Palace & Estates, added:

“We were pleased to have a meaningful discussion with those who attended and listen to their points of view.

“North Logiealmond Windfarm is important for creating sustainable renewable energy within the local area but is also critical to the future of Scone Estates & Perth Racecourse and will significantly enhance our local economic impact."
