MUIRHALL ENERGY LAUNCHES ONLINE SUPPLY CHAIN PORTAL SUPPORTING SKILLS

26 February 2026

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the local supply chain, independent Scottish renewable energy developer, Muirhall Energy Ltd has launched an online portal to better understand and engage with businesses in and around its development sites. The portal allows companies to register their interest in joining Muirhall Energy’s supply chain - helping to deliver renewable energy projects while utilising local skills and expertise.

John McGeehan, Acting Head of Delivery at Muirhall Energy commented:

“At Muirhall Energy, we are committed to developing projects that meet the UK’s long-term energy needs while also delivering tangible benefits for the local economy and communities.

“Scotland’s supply chain has already played a key role in our projects. The supply chain portal enables us to collaborate more efficiently, provide early information on opportunities and actively contract homegrown skills and services at an early stage.”

The information collected through the portal underpins Muirhall Energy’s commitment to a Scottish supply chain around its Scottish projects - sustaining local jobs, growing a skilled workforce and supporting economic growth.

Muirhall Energy is currently progressing with the construction of Priestgill Wind Farm, a seven turbine wind farm, northeast of Abington in South Lanarkshire. Consent for the project was granted in 2020 and it will have a generating capacity of 46MW, enough to power over 44,000 homes. The Muirhall Energy team entered the site in September, accompanied by RJ McLeod as the main civil engineering contractor and Powersystems UK Ltd delivering the local grid connection works.

A local supply chain open day, hosted by Muirhall Energy & RJ McLeod, attracted over 40 companies, and has already resulted in local contracts being placed with a nearby quarry, a materials testing company and a plant hire company to contribute to the construction of Priestgill Wind Farm.

John McGeehan, continued:

“We are proud of what each of our projects represents - collaboration to bring forward a clean power future. We hope that the new supply chain portal will encourage even more local businesses to become a part of this process.”
