Over £33,000 to support Scottish Borders community groups
Muirhall Energy has awarded over £33,000 to local community groups in the Scottish Borders in 2025 - supporting grassroots initiatives to improve community well being, provide vital services and create a positive local impact.
The donations are part of Muirhall Energy’s ongoing commitment to support the communities closest to its renewable energy projects. The funding awards recognise groups who are striving to improve their local area, bolster local educational programmes and support the wellbeing of local residents.
With an annual budget of over £100,000 Muirhall Energy accepts applications from community groups of all kinds, inspiring them to think differently and deliver initiatives that can bring about lasting change locally.
Siobhan Jarvie, Communities Manager at Muirhall Energy, said:
“We are delighted to continue engaging with and supporting the communities closest to our developments. This funding is just one part of the long-term benefits our projects bring to an area, however it offers essential support to local groups, helping them to sustain the important services and initiatives that matter to people locally, prior to an active operational community benefit fund being in place.
“Every Muirhall development is rooted in community and we are pleased to be working with the communities closest to our Teviot Wind Farm proposal in the Scottish borders. We are committed to ensuring our work leaves a positive and enduring legacy in every area we are working in.”
