Muirhall Energy Supports Outdoor Education Trip for Perthshire Scouts
Muirhall Energy, the independent developer behind the proposed North Logiealmond Wind Farm, awarded over £2,200 to the 18th Perthshire Scouts group, based in Bankfoot.
The funding allowed a number of young people and volunteers to travel to the Landmark Forest Adventure Park near Aviemore, covering all transport and entry fees to allow the opportunity for a valuable day of outdoor learning and adventure together.
The grant is part of Muirhall Energy’s broader, ongoing commitment to the region during the wind farm's development phase. To date, the developer has invested more than £38,000 into local projects in Perthshire, including the Dunkeld and Birnam Men’s Shed and the Tayside Trail Association.
Annie Nettleton, Cub Leader from the 18th Perthshire Scouts commented:
“Every beaver, cub and scout from 18th Perthshire (Bankfoot) Scouts was given the opportunity to come on the day out to Landmark Forest Adventure Park and travel there by coach- all fully funded by Muirhall Energy.
Because there is so much to do at Landmark it was perfect for all ages- from 6 to 14 and even the parents and leaders. We had such a brilliant day. It was so nice to see the excitement and smiles.”
Siobhan Jarvie, Communities Lead from Muirhall Energy commented:
“We are delighted to continue supporting local communities and the fantastic work local groups undertake. This funding is just one part of the long-term benefits our projects bring to an area, however it offers essential support to local groups, helping them to sustain the important services and initiatives that matter to people locally, prior to an active operational community benefit fund being in place.
“Every Muirhall development is rooted in community and we are pleased to be working with the communities closest to our North Logiealmond Wind Farm development in Perthshire. We are committed to ensuring our work leaves a positive and enduring legacy in every area we work in.”
