“We’re delighted with the positive response from Muirhall Energy.

This grant will go towards the project, based on the report published late last year looking at digital skills in our community. It will help us to deliver on the three strands of work around essential skills, digital careers and supporting small businesses.

Our report from October, which is available on our website, highlighted the need to build skills around digital and ensure everyone has the access they need. We hope to launch a volunteer scheme in late Spring to support older learners, practical activities for young people and workshops to help businesses build their digital capacity.

The Initiative continues to be a key Langholm organisation and we’re working hard to ensure people have everything they need.

We’re grateful to the team at Muirhall for their support and for seeing the value of this work. We have some match-funding to secure before we can begin and expect to hear about that in March.”
