Legacy Projects

Muirhall Energy Ltd’s initial 6 turbine wind farm development at Muirhall Farm, South Lanarkshire was built in 2011 and was closely followed by planning consent for several single turbine developments in the Company’s portfolio. As the business grew, we undertook larger projects which allowed us to devise new and innovative investment initiatives for communities neighbouring the developments.

Much has changed in the onshore wind industry in the last decade, with turbine scale, generating capacity and productivity greatly improved. Still the cheapest means of generating renewable energy, onshore wind will be crucial as we transition away from fossil fuels to more sustainable methods of energy production, as part of the country’s commitment to becoming a net zero society.
